This position works in a small team to keep the District's wells and pump stations operating. This position operates and maintains water wells, booster pump stations, sewer pump stations, reclaimed water and potable water storage tanks, pressure reducing valves and sewer vacuum valves.
Examples of some of the duties includes:
Pulling, repairing and installing water and wastewater pumps and motors.
Operating, maintaining and repairing flow meters.
Performing preventative maintenance duties on water and wastewater pumps and equipment.
Operates, maintains and repairs all pump control systems.

The Ideal Candidate will have:
Knowledge of similar equipment and machinery.
Ability to understand how equipment and machinery operate.
Ability to understand the basic principles of water chemistry and hydraulics, carpentry, pipe fitting, welding and fabrication.
Possession of Class B license or ability to obtain within 18 months of hire.
Grade T1 Water Treatment Plant Operator Certification from the State of CA or ability to obtain with 36 months of hire.
Grade D1 Water Distribution Operator Certification from the State of CA or ability to obtain with 36 months of hire.
Employer will assist with relocation costs.
